R.I.P.

For my morning routine I engaged in the walk/run method once again. As I was sucking in air after one of my brief sprints, I noticed a gnat heading straight for my face... It's no surprise that at this point I wasn't quick enough to dodge the little bugger!... I'm not sure if he went up my nose or down my throat... All I could think was, Well at least HIS death was quick and painless!

My daughter had a fly go up her nose while shopping in Walmart. She had no tissue so escaped to the restroom to try to extricate it. When she did, only part of it got removed. She then started having nightmares of the remaining piece turning into maggots which would then go to her brain. You can imagine the rest. We convinced her to go to the doctor. Fortunately, he gave her the good news that her fears would not manifest into anything more than the sleepless nigiht she endured. A few years later, her brain is still as good as it ever was. She thought maybe she should get some little screens for her nostrils, sort of like what you put on rain gutters to keep leaves out. Whadya think?

Is your daughter aware of the fact that there's fly matter in just about everything she's ever eaten? I've never heard about anyone getting freaked out like that??? For me, I was certain the little fella died instantly and at the time of my run wished I could do the same, as running for me is a long slow painful way of dying!
